Why We Love Marjorie Taylor Greene
Her fearless heckling of Biden’s SOTU and her attack on Sam Smith’s ‘Unholy’ obscure just how much she’s sacrificed to save the country she loves.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is fearless.
She’s not afraid to call the president of the United States a liar during his State of the Union address. She’s not afraid to link Pfizer and satanic abortion rituals to Sam Smith’s performance of “Unholy” during the Grammys. An incredible feat of intellectual dexterity all the more incredible because she packed it into a 248-character message on Twitter.
But for all her fearlessness, MTG gets no respect. By her own words, being in Congress has made her life miserable.
Here’s the thing
Nobody seems to understand what she gave up in order to serve her country. She could have been making a lot more money if she had stayed out of politics. It’s hard to live on the $174,000 a year she makes as a member of the House of Representatives.
The haters out there probably think that’s an exaggeration. But they don’t understand. Members of the House only get to serve two-year terms. They have to campaign for the next election all the time. And on top of that, there’s governing to do.
Serving her country is hard
But Marge hangs in there. Because she loves this nation. And America needs her.
Wasn’t she the one who got Donald on the phone during the first week of the new Congress, when it took Republicans nearly a week to pick a Speaker? That was genius. “It was the perfect phone call,” she later tweeted.
Imagine what she had to do to keep Donald on speed dial like that. Just so she could have him at her beck and call when their party needed him most.
You think anybody else on the House floor had the chutzpah to ring up The Former Guy after he failed to bring home the bacon during the midterms? Kevin McCarthy? Jim Jordan? Lorena Bobbit…er…Lauren Boebert? No, only Marge was MAGA enough to pull it off.
It was Marge who had instant access to all that hair, all that charisma. With connections like that — who knows what will happen next? One day, she may even find herself sitting on the golden toilet.
Not everybody understands how hard it’s been
Most people don’t even know her. They just believe what they read on the Internet. They believe videos she posted of herself following Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg, asking why he supports Red Flag laws that threaten our 2nd Amendment rights. People complained that following him around was harassment. But Marge had done her homework. He was already a legal adult by then.
Or maybe the haters believe the other video she posted, saying last year’s Fourth of July mass shooting was a false flag— a planned event to get Republicans to support gun-control legislation. Marge knows the haters will accuse her of another conspiracy theory for saying that, but she won’t back down. “What’s the definition of a right-wing conspiracy theory?” she hit back. “It’s news that’s six months early.”
Or maybe the haters just believe her Twitter feed. Sure, anyone can take a tweet out of context. But do the haters know that she never said the California forest fires were caused by Jewish space lasers? That’s just a lie pushed by corporate media.
Anyone with thinner skin would have quit by now.
But not Marge. She loves this country. That’s why she’s hanging in there, taking her new job on the House Oversight Committee seriously. That’s why she’s celebrating the tit-for-tat removal of Ilhan Omar from the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
That’s why Marge says Congressmen Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell might identify as women of color. That’s why she confronts Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez whenever she can, demanding that the Democrat from New York agree to a debate. No biting, no scratching, no pulling hair.
For Marge, every day is 1776.
That’s why she urges us to hang on to our freedoms. And never let the Left steal them away. That’s why she exhorts each of us to be a “watchman on the wall” and stay on guard every single second of every single day. Because the Left will stop at nothing until they destroy our faith, our families, and our freedoms.
And yet, with all that patriotism, nobody seems to understand Marjorie Taylor Greene. Nobody seems to appreciate that she rarely gets to spend time back in Georgia singing that old sweet song and shooting tin cans off the fence rail.
And now — on top of everything else — she’s losing money. As she said in a recent video, being in Congress is not something she enjoys. But she’s committed to the job because she believes in it.
But here’s another thing
Maybe it’s time to see Marge for what she really is. To forget about the trash-talk and the photo ops, the social media posts, the photo bombs, and the conspiracy theories. Maybe it’s time to think of her as the TV anchorwoman she clearly wants to be, reporting the news six months in advance. Not so she can say, I told you so. But to warn us all ahead of time of the ongoing Leftist threat.
But aside from that, maybe it’s time to consider her innocence. Her actual innocence. And to remember that she could not have come out of the womb like this. That something must have happened to her between the cradle and the gym — or between the gym and the Capitol — to turn her into the misunderstood attention-seeker she sometimes appears to be.
The end of the innocence?
Perhaps you’re wondering how somehow of her astonishing capabilities was elected to Congress in the first place. The answer can be found in a single word: gerrymandering. Marge represents Georgia’s 14th congressional district, which didn’t even exist until the census of 2010.
Since the GOP controlled the state legislature that year, its members got to draw the district map. The 14th district looks like a trapezoid with a big bite taken out of its midsection. Or a robot with its mouth open and a bunch of flies stuck to its nose.
About 737,000 people live in the district that sent Marge to Congress. Seventy-seven point five percent are white, 10.8% Hispanic, and 8.9% Black. Fifty-seven percent of the district is blue collar and 44 percent white collar.
The cost of a seat in Marge’s district is now up to $30 million dollars. That’s how much was spent to get that seat during the midterm elections. Is it her fault that her opponent outspent her by $4 million and that she still beat him in a landslide, garnering 65.9% of the vote to his 34.1%?
Was it her fault that her opponent Marcus Flowers is Black? That he had the nerve to spend his entire career defending the United States of America—first as an army veteran in four combat zones, and then another 20 years as a contractor for the state department and department of defense?
Of course not.
Stuff like that won’t qualify you for Congress. Not in Georgia’s 14th Congressional district.
Now you take Marge. She was born in Milledgeville, Georgia, which used to be home to the state mental asylum. Back in the day, if you were acting kind of odd, folks would say you better watch out before they send you to Milledgeville. But old Marge, she was born there. And it kind of makes you wonder how someone so smart could come from a place known for the mentally challenged.
And Marge is smart. She’s got a real bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and became president of a contracting company her daddy sold to her and her husband. And she ran it for a while, kind of, before she stepped down to start a Crossfit gym where she worked in different capacities—CFO, part-time trainer—until she got bit by the politics bug in 2016.
When Marge got to Congress in 2021
She tried real hard to get Mike Pence to overthrow the results of the 2020 election. But being a woman of courage, she also tried to get a presidential pardon just in case that didn’t work out. There is absolutely no truth to the New Yorker report that her request for a pardon was rejected after she spelled it parton—p-a-r-t-o-n.
Since then, she’s been fined 36 times by the Sergeant at Arms for a total of $93 thousand dollars for failing to wear a mask on the House floor. The funds were taken out of her paltry congressional salary of $174,000.
Marge has used her smarts to vote NAY on sanctions against Russia and Belarus. No on the Stop Iranian Drones Act. And No on all appropriation bills. In the new congress, she has introduced bills to impeach President Biden and Attorney General Merrick Garland and to prohibit gender-affirming care on minors.
So what if Marge sometimes says things that skirt the truth a little? So what if you sometimes feel embarrassed by her?
Hasn’t she made it clear that you have to spend most of your two-year term campaigning for the next election? Okay, so maybe she puts herself in front of the camera more than she needs to. And maybe she says a little more than she needs to say.
But if you look at the video of Marge explaining how serving in Congress has made her life miserable, perhaps you will see the vulnerability she tries to hide. Perhaps you will see her as a child of God.
Maybe then you will be able to look at her the way God looks at her. And to remember what your parents said back in the day. There are no bad children, only bad behaviors, bad acts.
There’s a good chance you haters are wrong about Marjorie Taylor Greene. After all, if God loves her, why can’t y’all love her too?

Thanks for reading/listening.
I didn't think anyone could make me smile while I seethed ... but you're not just anyone LOL. Nailed it.
Feel sorry for Marge? I'm trying, I'm trying, but first I have to rotate my tires.
